Welcome to Carswell Leathergoods, I'm Martin, and I am a traditionally trained leather craftsman based in Warragul, hand crafting custom and bespoke leather goods. I've been working full time since 2017, making my items the way they used to be made, with care and by hand.

 

It's common now to see leathergoods branded as 'Luxury' when they are made in an overseas factory often from leather with heavy plastic finishes that look worse over time. Luxury should mean that both top quality craftsmanship and materials have been used, with the ability to be repaired as needed. It is luxury to be able to talk to the craftsman directly, and have something completely bespoke made to your particular taste. I make things properly, like they used to do. I don't cut corners and I don't compromise on craftsmanship. Beware of brands that claim to be Australian, but do not mention where their products are made. All my items are made in Warragul by me, Martin Carswell, the sole craftsman. I've been making leather goods for twelve years and have been full time for seven years, and I am always striving to improve my skills.
